A denunciarlo il figlio Jacques: &quot;La statua dedicata a mio padre \u00e8 stata rubata. Questi esseri senz\u2019anima non meritano di essere chiamati esseri umani&quot;, ha scritto sui propri profili social, &quot;non capisco cosa possa avere gente simile in testa o nel cuore. Gilles ha rappresentato il Canada a livello internazionale. Un vanto per pochi. \u00c8 vergognoso che ci siano idioti capaci di un simile gesto&quot;.\u00a0Dalle prime ricostruzioni fatte dalla polizia, sembrerebbe che la statua in bronzo, alta 160 centimetri, sia stata trasportata da almeno due persone. I ladri hanno segato la scultura all\u2019altezza dei piedi per poi trasportarla in un camion. Del monumento, ora, restano soltanto gli stivali da corsa. Per recuperare la statua \u00e8 stato offerto un riscatto di 12mila euro, con i ladri che possono lasciarla in qualunque luogo di Bertherville.
